Pre-Press and File Intervention Services

Our highly trained electronic pre-press staff will analyze your files and prepare them for printing. Years of experience, combined with the latest hardware and software technology advances in pre-press, production and printing help us deliver top-quality pre-press services.

File transfer options include FTP drop and retrieval, plus small file e-mail. The SWPP workflow processes your files through Preflight software to help prevent costly intervention and additional time. We accept either Mac or PC versions of common file formats and PDF workflow. When requested, we can intervene using our archives of the same software applications your designer or staff use.

Our initial focus is to create "perfect single pages" and then create bindery impositions that are cost-effective. We’ll also provide the kind of full-coverage proofing that assures your vision and artwork match the final product.

SWP recently implemented a new software program, the Kodak InSite Prepress Portal System. Using this state-of-art technology, SWP can now offer its clients fast, secure, easy-to-use web access to their jobs anywhere, anytime. No special hardware or software is needed by the client, just the user ID and password provided by SWP. The system tracks all the client activity, including job submissions, change requests, and approvals or rejections. Pixel-streaming technology allows very large files to be accessed remotely. The instant a job is submitted, preflight and refining can begin automatically. The system checks for problems, and if necessary, alerts customers and/or the SWP prepress staff, so corrected pages can be quickly uploaded. The InSite Prepress Portal System is a key component to a high-speed automated workflow system with fewer errors and reduced costs.

Finally, we’ll archive your job to make future access easy and to provide cost savings for our clients who reprint or wish to make low-cost alterations to previously printed projects. We also offer CD duplication, e-mail distribution and electronic page distribution, as well as digital asset management and print media fulfillment services.
